It's hard to believe that EJ will be 4 months old this week! He has grown so much, it is ridiculous! He must be almost 17 pounds... he's getting quite heavy. I can't wait to see how much he weighs and how long he is on Thursday. He has almost outgrown his infant car seat. The limit is 30lbs. or 30 in., whichever comes first. I guess this means, let the search begin for the convertible seats. Where has my tiny baby gone? I cried the other night when I had to readjust the straps in his car seat.
He has reached some new milestones since my last post. He is so animated now. From all the smiles to the laughs to his cute facial expressions. He can roll from back to tummy like a champ now. We haven't mastered the tummy to back, yet, but that's ok. When he rolls from back to tummy these days he isn't crying bloody murder, so that is great! EJ has also started inching up his floor mat or his crib. Soon this kid is going to be crawling and then I'll really have to keep an eye on him! I suppose this means I need to start baby proofing the house.
In my last post, I was asked what was tummy time and why is it important. It's important because babies these days don't get as much time on their tummies as we did as babies. When we were babies, our parents put us to sleep on our tummies, so we were able to work on our back and neck muscles more often than the babies these days. We are told to put the babies "back to sleep" now in order to help prevent SIDS, sudden infant death syndrome. I know this is a short answer, and there is more to it, but I don't want to write out the wrong information. I hope this makes sense!
Very educational. Thanks for addressing my questions and for informing me u need a special infant car seat. So much to learn... I have no idea how you figure it out... Goodness... I am so proud of Mommy Mary! Gooooo, Mary! Don't cry.... You have a beautiful, healthy, strong baby boy who needs a comfortable ride :). Can't wait to meet the lil champ!
